Terms

Last updated

You own every guide you make with Walkthru and may use it for anything, including commercially. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement governs your licence to the app itself; the terms below cover the things specific to Walkthru.

Your content is yours

Recordings you import, screenshots the app extracts, and guides you export belong to you. We claim no rights over any of it, and could not exercise them if we did — none of it ever reaches us.

You are responsible for what you record. Recording a screen can capture other people’s information, and sharing a guide made from it is your decision to make. Walkthru offers redactions for what it spots; it cannot know what is confidential in your organisation.

A recording can also capture other people’s work — an app’s interface, a document, a photo. Make sure you have the right to record and share what you record, and do not use Walkthru to violate someone’s privacy, a duty of confidence, or the law. If you do, that is your act, not ours.

The free tier

Walkthru is free to download and includes every export format with no cap on steps or guides. Two limits apply:

  • Every export carries a watermark.
  • Three shares a day.

These are the only differences. No feature is withheld from the free tier. The limits may change in a future version; a change never takes away what a purchase has already unlocked.

Purchases

Two in-app purchases remove both limits, and nothing else:

  • Pro, $9.99 — a one-time purchase. Not a subscription. It does not expire and is restorable to your devices through your Apple Account.
  • Pro for seven days, $2.99 — a non-renewing purchase. It does not auto-renew. After seven days it simply ends, with no further charge and nothing to cancel. Passes can be bought again and stack.

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are requested from Apple atreportaproblem.apple.com.

Because Apple records no expiry for a non-renewing purchase, Walkthru reconstructs a pass’s remaining time from your purchase history. This is reliable on the device the pass was bought on and best-effort on others. The lifetime unlock is a different product type and restores normally.

“Once” means once: the lifetime unlock never expires and is never charged again, and it applies to Walkthru as it exists and as it evolves. It is not a promise of specific future features, or that the app will run on every future version of iOS forever.

What the app does not promise

Automatic step detection is a draft, not a verdict. It is measured from the pixels of your recording and will sometimes cut in the wrong place, particularly on screens that update on their own. Every such failure is correctable in the editor, and the app is designed around that fact rather than around the detection being perfect.

Sensitive-content detection favours catching too much over catching too little. It will flag things that are not private, and it may miss things that are.It is an assistant, not a guarantee. Check every guide before you share it — the responsibility for what a guide reveals is yours.

Walkthru is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

If something goes wrong

To the extent the law allows, Innov8 Ventures Company LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Walkthru — lost profits, lost data, lost business, or the consequences of a guide you shared. For everything else, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for Walkthru in the twelve months before the claim arose — for a free-tier user, that is zero.

In particular: a guide reveals whatever its screenshots contain. Detection is an assistant, the decision to share is yours, and if a third party brings a claim against us because of something you recorded, made or shared with Walkthru, you agree to cover the costs and damages that claim causes us.

Nothing on this page limits a right that the consumer law where you live does not allow to be limited.

The legal frame

Your licence to the app itself isApple’s Standard EULA; if these terms and that EULA say different things about the licence, the EULA wins. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Innov8 Ventures Company LTD about Walkthru. They are governed by the law of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, where the company is registered, except where the consumer law of your own country applies to you regardless. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change that affected what you had already bought would be announced rather than applied quietly.
